Forbidden goods

The following is a list of goods and services that Qwintry cannot help you with at the moment:

1. Sending packages to locations in the United States and Canada. Qwintry can only send packages to other countries;
2. Receiving and sending gift cards and gift certificates, or any information contained on them;
3. Receiving and sending mail that contains coupons or any type of separately packaged promotional item;
4. The disassembly of bicycles, chairs, children’s furniture or any other large, fully-assembled items;
5. Receiving and shipping weapons, weapon parts, or dual-purpose goods (e.g. night vision devices, electric stunning devices, scopes, or other similar items);
6. Receiving and shipping any type of knife, except for kitchen knives. Nail clippers or folding pocket knives (excluding switchblades) with blade length of 85 mm or less may be shipped through USPS Priority Mail, with liability resting on the client;
7. Receiving and shipping radios and radio scanners. In addition, SPSR and Qwintry Air restrict the delivery of various forms of radio equipment (receivers, transmitters, antennae etc.) that operate on frequencies other than AM, FM, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi (both spectrum bands);
8. Receiving and shipping pressurized aerosols, flammable items, alcohol, and alcohol-containing products (USPS only: assuming full responsibility, a customer may send perfume within the contents of a consolidated package under the following limitations: up to 50 mL of perfume in a shipment weighing up to 4 pounds; up to 100 mL in a shipment weighing up to 8 pounds; and up to 250 mL in shipments weighing more than 8 pounds);
9. Receiving and sending fine art or museum-quality items, such as antiques, paintings and other pieces of art;
10. Receiving and sending tobacco or any product that contains tobacco;
11. One package may contain no more than 7-10 fragile items (crockery, glass or porcelain, parts of the chandeliers, etc.);
12. Restrictions on sending electronic devices (smartphones and tablets):
    • Through SPSR: no more than two identical devices may be sent in the same package.
    • Through USPS: no restrictions, but insurance does not cover any electronic items on the territories of Russia, Ukraine and Moldova. We DO NOT RECOMMEND sending smartphones, tablets and laptops through USPS without insurance due to the continuing incidence of theft in Russia.
13. The shipment of Apple products to countries outside the United States is possible exclusively through SPSR and Qwintry Air. USPS does not offer insurance for these products;
14. Shipping lithium-ion batteries in separate packaging (note: one battery may be shipped through SPSR);
15. Shipping jewelry and precious stones/metals through SPSR/Qwintry Air and USPS Express. For USPS Priority, the total cost of goods should not exceed $150;
16. Shipping coins, bills and other forms of currency, as well as medals and military decorations;
17. Shipping any form of food is prohibited by SPSR and Qwintry Air;
18. Narcotic and psychoactive drugs or their chemical precursors, including those designated for medical use;
19. Other goods prohibited from being transported in accordance with the conventions of the Universal Postal Union as well as customs laws put forth by the Customs Union.
20. The United States Postal Service (USPS) prohibits the shipment of goods valued at over $2,499. All such packages will be returned to the US Customs Service without compensation for the cost of delivery.
21. Due to complications in the present foreign policy situation, customs services are cautious of packages in the Russian Federation and Ukraine that contain items resembling military ammunition or that have camouflage coloration. Therefore, the shipment of such items through Qwintry is temporarily forbidden.
